If your SSS membership type is OFW, Self-Employed, Voluntary, Separated, or Non-Working Spouse, you can now receive your SSS sickness benefit, SSS maternity benefit or Employees' Compensation benefit through your bank account.

This is called the SMEC-PB program, which means Sickness, Maternity and Employees' Compensation Payment thru the Bank.

The initial name of this program was SSS Sickness & Maternity Benefits Payment Through the Bank (SMB-PB) program.

You will receive your benefit through your bank account with any of the following Philippine banks. It can be a savings account or a checking account.

Does SSS accept cash cards or prepaid cards?
Yes, but get a cash card or prepaid card that can contain up to 100,000 pesos.
 
The generic BDO cash card can contain only up to 10,000 pesos at a time.
Kung 41,600 pesos ang maternity benefit mo, hindi makakapasok ang benefit sa cash card mo.

Puede ang UMID card

You  can also use your SSS UMID card as your ATM card, but you need first to activate your UMID card at Union Bank kiosks at SSS branches in:
